CHICAGO, IL – State Senator Mattie Hunter (D-Chicago) is sponsoring legislation that will address the management of children with diabetes in a school setting.

"Juvenile diabetes is a disorder that is easily managed if the proper steps are taken," said Senator Hunter, Vice-Chairwoman of the Illinois Senate Public Health Committee. "However, if symptoms arise and are not noticed by a teacher or administrator, the child’s life could be in danger."
