SPRINGFIELD, IL – Today, the Illinois Senate Redistricting Committee released a redistricting proposal for public review. State Senator John Sullivan (D–Rushville) responded to today’s release by encouraging the public to view the proposal online at www.ilSenateRedistricting.com or www.IllinoisSenateDemocrats.com.
"For the first time ever, the public will be able to review a redistricting proposal online using their own home computers," Sullivan said. "I encourage anyone who is interested in their government to take advantage of this great opportunity."
Since 2009, the Senate Redistricting Committee has held over 20 public meetings in a variety of locations throughout Illinois. Redistricting Committee Chairman Kwame Raoul announced today that the Redistricting Committee will conduct two additional public hearings. The meetings, which citizens can stream live over the Internet, are scheduled as follows:

Note: The Tuesday, May 24 hearing in Springfield will be a joint hearing of both House and Senate Redistricting Committees.
