Bipartisan Senate Committee on Medicaid Reform to Meet

What: The Illinois State Senate’s Special Committee on Medicaid Reform will hold its second hearing in Chicago. The bipartisan committee is charged with reaching a consensus on cost-saving Medicaid reforms that streamline services and reduce waste and fraud.

Who: Co-chairs Senator Heather Steans (D-Chicago) and Senator Dale Righter (R-Mattoon) will hear testimony from advocacy groups, reform groups, and national Medicaid experts. Due to time constraints, oral testimony is by invitation only, but the public is invited to submit written testimony.
