Springfield, IL— State Senator Ira Silverstein (D – Chicago) announced this week that his office has launched a legislative website. The website, www.senatorsilverstein.com, was built to better inform constituents of the 8th Legislative District of upcoming news and current information on legislation in Springfield.
"The website will add a level of transparency to my role in state government, giving the public an opportunity to make their voices heard on the issues most important to them and their families," Silverstein said.
Visitors to the website will be able to track Senator Silverstein's legislation, explore the 8th District, and see upcoming events. More importantly, constituents will be able to utilize a direct news source reporting on the significant matters facing the State of Illinois.
"I welcome feedback into how this website can grow into a portal for news and information that my constituents can utilize as a community forum," Silverstein added. "If constituents have suggestions for website content or additions that will make it more user friendly, they may contact my Springfield office at 217-782-5500 or my district office at 773-743-5015."
