Schoenberg, Gabel, Biss to co-host Education Forum with Evanston/Skokie school group

altEvanston – Assistant Majority Leader Jeff Schoenberg (D-Evanston) is co-hosting an Education Forum with Representatives Robyn Gabel (D-Evanston) and Daniel Biss (D-Evanston) and the Evanston/Skokie School Districts 65/202 Legislative Task Force on Thursday, November 3, 2011, from 7:00-8:30 pm, in the board room of the District 65 Joseph E. Hill Education Center, located at 1500 McDaniel Avenue in Evanston.

The forum will focus on how Evanston’s legislators can become more effective champions of both student achievement and community development as they pursue policies toward producing a better educated and productive work force that is well prepared to tackle an increasingly competitive job market.

Local community organizations and public education stakeholders have been invited to this event to build stronger coalitions of support for bridging gaps in the resource delivery system to students.

The event is free and open to the public.
