Springfield, Illinois — State Senator Tony Munoz (D-Chicago), along with Representative Dena Carli, Alderman Edward Burke and the Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council Special Service Area 39 are announcing a Back-to-School Family Health Fair Saturday, August 27, 2011, from 12 P.M. to 4 P.M. The fair will take place at TCF Bank located at 4192 S. Archer Ave. in Chicago.
The Back-to-School Fair will be a chance for students and families to celebrate the beginning of the 2011-2012 school year. Students can take this opportunity to receive school physicals, school vaccines, and dental exams. In addition, students and families will be able to receive tests for asthma, lead and diabetes.
"It is vital to ensure that everyone has the materials they need to fully participate in their education," stated Senator Munoz. "I would like to encourage every student to attend."
Parents should remember to bring their child’s medical records in order to receive their vaccinations and immunizations.
