Capitol Dome Award Presented to Senator Link

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL Last week at the Northwest Community Hospital Auditorium, Senator Terry Link (D-Waukegan) was presented with the Capitol Dome Award by the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network.

The American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network celebrates its 10th birthday this year, and chose to celebrate by honoring cancer survivors, caregivers, volunteers, researchers and advocates.

"I’m flattered to receive this award, and I have worked hard throughout my legislative tenure to remain a reliable and dedicated advocate for policies that prevent cancer and protect cancer patients," Senator Link said.

Senator Link was honored this year for his ‘outstanding public policy achievement and leadership in his community’. The Capitol Dome Award is only presented to those legislators who show outstanding leadership on legislative issues.
