delgado75x75SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Senator William Delgado (D–Chicago) has had enough with Chicago Public Schools underhanded approach to closing facilities throughout the City of Chicago and specifically the 2nd Legislative District.

"I want to know if this is the way Chicago's top educator -- public schools chief executive officer Jean-Claude Brizard -- is going to run CPS," stated Delgado regarding of the lack of information being given to the community about school closings throughout the City.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported today that people are coming forward saying they were paid by the HOPE Organization to rally on behalf of school closings they did not personally support.

"The Chicago Educational Facilities Task Force was created to work in and with communities throughout the City to ensure that any school closures or consolidations are done openly, honestly, and with the best of intention.
