SPRINGFIELD, Illinois – State Senator William Delgado (D-Chicago) and Representatives Cynthia Soto and Luis Arroyo (D-Chicago) have announced that their Annual Back-to-School and Family Health Fair will be held on Friday August 7, 2007 at Mozart Park located at 3840 W. Armitage Avenue.
For children, the health fair will provide back-to-school physicals and immunizations, lead screenings, vision and hearing tests, and asthma screening. For adults there will be blood pressure, cholesterol, and diabetes screenings. There will also be individuals present to assist with registration for the All Kids program. In addition, there be over 60 community and governmental agencies as exhibitors as well as entertainment and fun activities for children.
"I am very proud of the success of our past health fairs," said Delgado. "This fair gives us the opportunity to help everyone in the district receive the information they need to stay healthy."
