Windy City Earns Third Best City in the United States

Despite the "sky is falling" claims that Illinois is an awful place to do business, the internationally respected accounting and business consulting firm PriceWaterhouseCooper, LLC issued a report yesterday putting Chicago in seventh place for the best cities for business in the world. The report reinforces the optimism that, in fact, Illinois is still a global leader for economic opportunity.

The study, entitled "Cities of Opportunity," is an in-depth survey covering 26 cities which examines 10 key indicators along with providing insight from urban experts.

The report notes that the Windy City, which also earned a third place ranking behind New York and San Francisco, is the second best city in the world for entrepreneurs.

Even with all of our state's challenges, it's another reason to be proud and optimistic for Illinois.
