Illinois Senate President John Cullerton was recognized today by the Illinois Leadership Council for Agricultural Education for his commitment and leadership on agricultural issues across the state. Tom Jennings, Director of the Illinois Department of Agriculture, was on hand to present President Cullerton with an award for his service. The Illinois Leadership Council for Agricultural Education is a statewide organization of individuals representing all segments of the agricultural industry and is mandated by its membership to provide statewide leadership to improve education in and about agriculture.

President Cullerton is appreciative of the Council’s hard work throughout the years to educate urban legislators about the importance of agriculture to Illinois.
